The fruit is one of the main ingredients used in Ayurvedic and alternative medicine. The fruit is said to have five tastes (sweet,sour,pungent,bitter,astringent i.e. madhura, amla, katu, tikta, kashaya). Experiencing all of the five different tastes when made into a drink is one of the unique feature of the fruit. Ingredients used for the ingredients are collected only from naturally grown plants in Sri Lankan localities and has no preservatives
