About: Wennappuwa is a town located in the northwestern coast of Sri Lanka, in the Puttalam District of the North Western Province. It is situated approximately 60 km north of the commercial capital Colombo and 30 km south of the ancient city of Chilaw. The town is bordered by the Indian Ocean to the west, and several lagoons and marshlands to the east.
