About: Kuruwita is a small town located in the Ratnapura District of the Sabaragamuwa Province in Sri Lanka. It is situated approximately 88 kilometers southeast of Colombo and is known for its scenic beauty and as a starting point for hiking and trekking activities in the surrounding hills and forests. Kuruwita is famous for its natural attractions, including the Bopath Ella waterfall, which is located about 5 kilometers from the town center. The waterfall is around 30 meters high and is surrounded by lush green forests.
