This Coir Hot Pot Stand Set of 5, known in Sinhala as Kohu Daranu, protects your dining table in a natural, handmade way. Each round ring is tightly wrapped and twisted from coir (coconut fibre) rope, finished in cheerful red, green and natural colours. Place a hot clay pot, curry pot or serving dish on the stand to stop heat marks, burns and sliding on your table.

  • Made from natural coir (coconut fibre) rope, tightly wound into sturdy rings
  • Every ring combines red, green and natural coir tones for a lively look
  • Suits traditional clay pots as well as everyday dishes and serving bowls

  • Eco friendly, reusable and handmade in Sri Lanka
  • Use only for hot pots and dishes, not direct flame or stove; wipe with a dry cloth, avoid soaking

This set of five coir kohu daranu stands, each 5 inches wide, is made for resting hot pots and pans straight off the stove without scorching the table. The woven coir fits a kitchen that leans towards natural materials, and it sits easily with other home decor in wood, clay and fibre. Eco Ceylon T makes it, so you will find more in the same spirit across the Eco Ceylon eco-friendly range.

A set of five makes a practical housewarming gift for a new kitchen, and it pairs well with a steel electric kettles pick for the tea counter, since the stand takes the heat of a pot lifted straight from the stove.
