Aluminium hydroxide,  magnesium hydroxide and magnesium silicate belong to a group of antacids. Aluminium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide and magnesium silicate work by neutralising excess stomach acid. Simethicone is anti-flatulent which works by decreasing the surface tension of gas bubbles, thereby facilitating gas expulsion through flatus or belching (burping).
