Stilt Fisherman Burn Art

Pyrography or pyrogravure is the art of decorating wood or other materials with burn marks resulting from the controlled application of a heated object such as a poker. It is also known as pokerwork or wood burning.
Slit Fishing is one of the most interesting traditional fishing methods of Sri Lanka that is unique to the island. The beautiful sight of fishermen perched branched poles as they fish skillfully during dawn, noon and dusk, can now be commonly seen along the southern coast of Sri Lanka.
