What are things to consider when selecting a bridal bouquet?
The bouquet style is important. Do you want a hand-tied clutch, nosegay, cascade, etc? The color is another important decision. Do you want all white, lots of color, monochromatic, etc? The type of flowers is the next step. Do you like traditional wedding flowers, gardenias, stephanotis, and roses? Or do you want more mod flowers, miniature calla lilies, gerbera, and orchids. How far in advance should I book a florist to do my wedding flowers?
Once you have your wedding date, start looking for a florist 6-12 months ahead of time, especially if your wedding is during the peak wedding season or near holidays. Florists can only handle a certain amount of weddings per day. It’s best to book them well in advance to prevent disappointments.

I have a tight budget. Will the florist be able to work with me so that I get the flowers I need for the wedding? Any tips?
Absolutely. Florists are well known for stretching your dollar to fit your budget. Be realistic though. Don’t expect to get orchids on a rose budget. Ask the florist how the flowers can be used at the ceremony and the reception sites. All you need is someone designated to transport them to the reception. Most florists will leave carrying boxes for easy transport of the flowers.
