Now you don’t need to stand at a supermarket counter or a post office to pay your LECO bill. In fact, with a little practice, you could make the LECO bill payment from the comfort of your home or while at work. As with all online transactions, you need a debit or credit card to make online payments. In this day and age, who doesn’t have a debit or credit card? Notably, making a LECO online payment is easy with LECO’s easy-to-use portal. Just follow the steps below, and your LECO online payment can be done in a matter of minutes.

Pay LECO bill online: Step 1
Search for the LECO online payment gateway on Google, and it will appear as below. Better still, you can simply search for “LECO online payment.” Here, there is no need to type the exact website name. However, if you want to be sure, you can go to www.ebill.leco.lk. Once you get there, the page will be displayed as below:
Step 2
Once you get to the above, the page will appear as above. I have shown the above screenshot as a reference. The best news is that you don’t have to register to make your LECO online payment. On this page, you have to start by entering your account number. Then select the present month or the previous month. That’s about it as far as the protocol is concerned. To get the account number, you either remember it or refer to the bill. I have shown below where to get the account number.
Alternatively, you can use your mobile to make LECO online payment. Simply search: ebill.leco.lk



Step 3
Once you input the account number, you are good to go and the following fields will appear as shown below. It is quite simple now as you have to fill in these fields.



As shown above, your account number is now displayed.To make sure, you can click View Details and cross-check if your details matchyour billing details. Once you’ve done that,
Enter theamount you wish to pay.
Enter yourmobile number.
Enter youre-mail address.
Once you have done that, select payment methods like Visa, Mastercard, or Amex and press the Pay Now button.
Step 4
Once you push the Pay Now button, the following message will be displayed on your screen. Here, once the details displayed on the screen are all good, you can press the green continue button.



Step 5
The following details will appear on your screen. You have to fill in all the fields accurately, which is quite easy to understand. Then press the red Proceed button.



If you are already served with a Disconnection Notice, please produce any of the above proofs to our disconnection staff when they arrive at your premises.
Please keep in mind that your disconnection notice may not be resolved with the part payments you made online. Ideally, you should contact the relevant branch office or contact the LECO call centre for more information.
Pay through LECO Official Online Payment Portal
LECO offers an official online payment platform for instant bill payments.
- Instant Pay Portal: Visit lecoapp.leco.lk/OnlineBillPay/Instant_Pay and enter your LECO account number to proceed with the payment. This portal allows payments via Visa, Mastercard, and Amex cards.

Several banks and third-party services in Sri Lanka facilitate LECO bill payments online:
- People’s Bank – People’s Pay App: This app enables LECO bill payments directly from your bank account.
- Sampath Bank – PayEasy: Sampath Bank’s PayEasy platform supports LECO bill payments.
- Commercial Bank – Online Banking: Commercial Bank’s online banking portal allows customers to pay LECO bills seamlessly.
- FriMi by Nations Trust Bank: FriMi app users can add LECO as a biller and make payments directly through the app.
- Pay&Go App: Recently integrated with LECO, the Pay&Go app offers a convenient platform for electricity bill payments
Important tips to follow when you pay LECO bill online
- Proof of Payment: Always retain a copy of your payment confirmation, either as an SMS or email receipt, especially if you’ve received a disconnection notice.
- Payment Verification: Ensure that your payment is processed and reflected in your LECO account to avoid service interruptions.
- Contact Support: If you encounter issues, contact LECO’s customer service through the MyLECO app or their official website
- Discontinuing services: Now, discontinuing notices will be sent to your registered mobile through an SMS only.
