CAN YOU COOK POLOS?

If you`re cooking polos, start by cutting the skin off the fruit. Then, cut the flesh into large chunks, and simmer in a pot of water until tender. You can then separate the pods from the rest of the fruit, remove the seeds, and use the green polos in your favorite savory recipes.

Leave jackfruit on the counter to ripen. Once ripe, it should yield slightly to pressure. Wrap cut fruit tightly in plastic wrap or airtight container and refrigerate up to 7 days.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU EAT POLOS?

Unripe or young green polos can be consumed raw as well, but because of its neutral flavor, it is much more suited for absorbing flavor in savory cooking applications. To use it as a meat alternative, we recommend shredding the polos and cooking it in your favorite sauces or spices!

Shopping experience was so easy each item with photo and reasonably priced and a vast selection of vegetables and essentials like coconut etc.including items like ambarella and polos and kehelmuwa etc. Asking for too much would be asking for billing to make billing sambol if possible. Fruits like katu aththa would also be good but you may have had them I am unsure now what you had in the pictures. Clicking the tabs for shopping and delivery address etc. was so easy. Didnt take time for shopping on line. Delivery carried out promptly as instructed. Very happy customer.
